Maturikon – Visual Identity & Web Application
A platform helping students prepare for Czech exams through structured practice and test exercises.
Year :
2020
Industry :
Education
Client :
Kurzor
Project Duration :
2 month

Brief :
The task was to design a logo that would appeal to students, create the interface for a web application developed by a separate team, and design supporting banner communication.

Process :
The goal was to transform a fragmented visual identity into a consistent digital product. I started by exploring multiple visual concepts for the brand, focusing on symbolism and tone of voice that would resonate with students. Based on this exploration, I defined a clear visual direction. I then designed a scalable UI system, including reusable components, typography, and color rules to ensure consistency across the platform. The final UI was created in Sketch and handed off to developers via Zeplin.

Solution :
The main challenge was to create a modern and engaging interface that would motivate students while remaining clear and easy to use. The visual concept is built around abstract geometric shapes inspired by the Czech flag, subtly reinforcing the theme of the Czech language exam. This motif was consistently applied across the interface as well as in banner communication. The result is a flexible and scalable design system that can be easily adapted for other subjects in the future.
